Architectural Committee Guidelines
The Architectural Committee is responsible for upholding community covenants and reviewing all proposed exterior changes to homes within the Durango HOA.
All modifications to the front of any property must be submitted for review and approval before work begins. This includes, but is not limited to, changes to paint color, landscaping, fencing, and structural alterations.
The committee meets regularly and strives to review and respond to requests as quickly as possible. Please note that any unapproved changes are subject to fines and may require the homeowner to restore the property to its original condition.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping maintain the integrity and appearance of our community.
Community Standards
& Seasonal Reminders

As part of the responsibilities of the Architectural Committee, we conduct an annual Spring Walkthrough in May to help ensure all homes are in compliance with our community covenants. If your property requires updates or maintenance, you will receive a letter in the fall. Failure to comply may result in fines.
We kindly ask that all homeowners and renters follow the covenants and bylaws you agreed to as part of the Durango HOA. Our goal is to keep the neighborhood looking clean, well-maintained, and loved.

General Guidelines:
-
Visible Areas Matter: Anything visible from the street is subject to HOA standards. This includes the sides of homes, driveways, and front yards.
-
Winter Maintenance: Driveways must be shoveled after snowfall ends. Sidewalks are also required to be cleared, as mandated by city ordinance. Please help keep our neighborhood safe for pedestrians during the winter months.
-
Summer Care: Lawns should be regularly watered, mowed, and maintained to uphold curb appeal and community pride.
-
Fall Cleanup: Please do your best to keep leaves under control and avoid blowing them into the streets. This helps prevent storm drain blockages and keeps our neighborhood tidy.
We also host a Spring Clean-Up Day each year to maintain our shared green space and the landscaped island at the entrance to our community. Our green space is professionally managed by Blue Mountain Lawn Care, which handles fertilizing, mowing, and trimming throughout the season.
Thank you for doing your part to keep Durango HOA a beautiful, safe, and welcoming place to live!

As a courtesy, we also ask that you:
-
Notify your neighbors about your project in advance.
-
Inform your contractor or company of choice about limited parking and the importance of maintaining safe speeds and cleanliness on the job site.
-
Do not park in designated "No Parking" lanes, as this can restrict access and create unsafe one-way traffic conditions in our neighborhood.
